International Museums Weekend - June 16/17 2018
18 Jun 2018 by Bob Mcleod
Here are some statistics about the contacts we made over the weekend.
The antenna was an inverted V di-pole at about 30 feet above ground, and we used a small Yaesu FT450 transceiver. We worked on 3 different modes: digital, SSB (voice) and CW (morse). I think I mentioned that unfortunately there was a CW contest on the bands, and although Fred could hear CW signals, he was unable to work anyone because they only wanted to contact others in the contest. Radio conditions are not so good at this time of year, so we were surprised to work so many far away places over the weekend.
